Customer case studies

:: Shopping centres

Customer: Capital Shopping Centers

CSC is one of the UK's largest shopping centre owners, with a portfolio of 13 of the UK's biggest and well known shopping centers.

Background: In 2006, we approached CSC with a proposal to offer the service across their site portfolio. With the business still fresh in many people's minds due to our appearance on the Dragon's Den, our proposal was well received and we began the task of visiting each site to identify stable machine locations. Meeting with the Centre Manager at each scheme, allowed us to understand the needs of the Centre, customer flows, and identify the best locations for both parties.

Solution: With a commercial deal now in place, contracts were drawn up for execution, allowing the installation process to begin.

Today over 30 machines have been allocated to CSC, who remain one of our biggest UK shopping centre customers.

:: Train operating companies
                                                                       Customer: Translink

Translink are Northern Ireland’s largest transport operator managing over 400 bus and train interchanges.

Background: During the summer of 2007, one of our Irish agents identified an opportunity to introduce our service to Translink.

Before approaching the customer, detailed sales projections were prepared, in addition to an analysis of passenger flow at various stations, to determine the potential take-up of our product. At the initial meeting with the customer, we outlined the potential income we would seek to generate, and detailed the numerous customer benefits of the service.

Solution: In winter 2007, the first machines were installed, within bus and train stations in Belfast and Londonderry, with more to follow.

:: Bars, pubs, clubs
                                                                    Customer: Novus Leisure

Novus Leisure operates over 30 of the best known clubs and bars in the West End and the UK.

Background: Novus Leisure contacted us in autumn 2007 to enquire whether our service would be suitable for their high-end venues.

After surveying selected venues within the portfolio, it became apparent that space would be an issue when identifying potential machine locations.

Solution: We suggested the installation of machines on stands, which would enable the machine to be moved as needed into position, and out of the way during sunny days.

Units are now keeping bar and club goers dry in bars such as flagship bar Tiger Tiger on London’s Shaftesbury Avenue, and City favorite Abacus.

:: Car parks

Customer: APCOA

APCOA is one of the UK’s largest operators of car parks, managing over 800,000 spaces in over 18 countries.

Background: Following the submission of a proposal to the company’s management, we were invited to survey a selection of sites to determine potential locations for our machines.

Once suitable locations had been found, commercial terms, were quickly agreed and an exclusive operating license signed.

Solution: Today machines can be found in APCOA car parks from Cardiff to Glasgow, where they perform an invaluable service keeping car park users alighting from their vehicles dry.
